8 May 2012 WOD

1)2x clean + 2x jerk, max (215lbs)

2)Front Squat heavy single (280lbs ten pound PR baby!)

3)”As far as possible in 8 minutes:

1 deadlift, 245#

2 CTB pullups

2 deadlifts

4 pullups

3 deadlifts

6 pullups

etc”

1)Pause snatch, heavy single (175lbs)

2)”3x50’ hand over hand prowler pull, seated s heavy as possible” (270lbs)

Alternate prowler pull with 3 x max strict HSPU (8,8,8)

3)”3 rounds for time (6:34)

21 wall ball (20#/10’)

21 toes-to-bar”

4) Rest 5 minutes than  Row 2k  (7:59)

Putting Things in to Perspective

I’m not going to lie, but after watching regionals and seeing all the hype to the crossfit games it makes me hungry to be in it. I want it!  I want to be a competitor who makes regionals and who makes it to the games.  One of these days!  

Though next year seems like a long time from now, I can’t think like that.   I gotta ensure that every workout is maximized, every rest period is properly used and all my food intake are of the proper nutrition.  

So to keep things in perspective and slap myself with a dose of reality I broke down the numbers:

If the crossfit games open starts next year on or around 20 Feb 2013, than there are:

1) Only 39 weeks to the crossfit games open

2) Only 234 workouts that i get to use to maximize my gains (workout approx. 6 times a week)

If you look at it like this, at least for me, everything matter.  Every food intake, every workout, every sleep cycle matters.  

Lets do this!  Crossfit Regionals 2013!

Snatch 15x1 on :60 Start at 165, work up as able. Got up to 185lbs….not my best day….

8 sets: 3 push press, 135#, 10 kettlebell swiings, 32kg Rest :30 between sets

Focus on moving the bar as fast as possible on every set of push press. Time each round individually.

7 minutes 15 seconds!
